The sacred fire is a central aspect of ceremonial space in ancient lineages from around the world. The fire, a connection to the sun, assists us to illuminate, clear and transform. We will also give to the fire an offering of waters gathered from ceremonies, pilgrimages and sacred sites from different parts of the world. Water connects us to the moon and the vast unconscious - with water we realign, purify and integrate. For those who wish to receive, there will also be opportunity to receive the blessing of sacred waters.
The fire will remain continually present with us throughout the weekend - providing a community place for quiet reflection and integration. A fire altar creates a "power point" within our festival. By acknowledging, welcoming and celebrating the fire, we consciously collaborate with the sacred fire in a process of healing, transformation and letting go. Participants are encouraged to honour the fire with moments of attention and gratitude and the simple gesture of placing offerings of copal (a scared incense from Mexico).
